The correct use of the sorbet sieve

Through the sorbet sieve
The sorbet strainer, also known as an empty strainer, thoroughly crushes and blends the ingredients, resulting in a wonderfully smooth and creamy sorbet texture. Unlike juicer and smoothie strainers, the sorbet strainer has no holes and features a convenient spout. The absence of holes ensures that all ingredients introduced into the juicer are seamlessly homogenized. Furthermore, the spout of the sorbet strainer facilitates direct pouring of the sorbet to the juicer lid, enhancing the overall user experience.

Assembly
When using the sorbet strainer, you can insert it directly into the base by aligning the red dot on the strainer with the red dot on the juicer bowl. Once properly aligned, push the auger down into the strainer and assemble the top assembly. The strainer has a silicone ring at the bottom that effectively seals the hole from which pulp would normally be extracted.

Frozen ingredients
Using mostly frozen ingredients ensures your sorbet will have a wonderfully thick and icy texture. You can either buy pre-frozen ingredients or freeze fresh ingredients yourself. Whichever method you choose, it's crucial that the ingredients are frozen for at least 8 hours or overnight. This duration ensures the ingredients reach the necessary frozen solidity. Insufficient freezing time can cause the ingredients to stick in the sieve, resulting in a mushy sorbet. Before using your frozen ingredients, it's recommended to let them thaw for at least 5 minutes. Thawing allows the juicer to effectively chop and process them without difficulty. Insufficient thawing can put undue strain on the juicer and potentially lead to breakage or damage. The same applies to introducing ice. Ice should not be introduced into the juicer. However, be careful not to thaw your frozen ingredients too much, or your sorbet will have a drippy, mushy consistency.

Additional ingredients
To achieve the desired taste and texture in your sorbet, there are various ingredients you can incorporate. Enhance your sorbet by adding ingredients such as milk, lemon/lime juice, yogurt, honey, syrup, vanilla extract, mint, or salt, according to your preferences. When using these ingredients, it is recommended to combine them in a small bowl or cup before adding them to the juicer as a mixture. For a creamier sorbet consistency, you should also consider topping your ingredients with condensed milk before adding them to the juicer.

Smart closure
When making your sorbet, it's important to keep the smart lid open throughout the entire process. Unlike juicer and smoothie strainers, the sorbet strainer doesn't have holes, so the sorbet tends to collect inside the strainer. This buildup can potentially cause blockages and interrupt the sorbet-making process.

Small portions at a time
For optimal performance, it is recommended to introduce small portions of ingredients at a time. This approach allows the auger to focus on each portion, effectively shredding the ingredients and preventing any pieces from being missed. You can slowly feed the juicer one ingredient at a time to create a delicious single-flavor sorbet. If you prefer a multi-flavor sorbet, alternate between several ingredients. The juicer will blend your ingredients for you.

Serve
Once you have finished making your sorbet, mix it thoroughly with a spoon to combine the flavors. You also have the option of adding your desired toppings.

You have the choice of enjoying your sorbet immediately or saving it for later. If you decide to save it, be sure to transfer the sorbet to a freezer-safe container. This step guarantees that the sorbet will remain in optimal condition until you are ready to enjoy it. When it's time to serve the frozen sorbet, let it soften for a few minutes to achieve the ideal consistency for scooping and enjoying.
