Mighty Muscle Juice Recipe with Chef Gary Dowse

This vegetable juice recipe was fun to make. It has a vibrant color and is packed with lots of healthy, fresh nutrients for your muscular system.

The taste

A very neutral taste, slightly sweet and earthy.

Ingredients

  • 2 beets
  • 3 red bell peppers
  • 250g soy sprouts

Juicing time: 6 minutes

Juice quantity: 700ml

Servings: 3

Preparation

Beetroot

  • Halve and then cut into quarters
  • Cut each half into thin slices to make pressing easier.
  • Juice with the peel (you can also juice the leaves and stems if you have them)

paprika

  • Remove the green stems
  • Cut into halves or quarters to fit into the wide opening.
  • Remove excess seeds (you can juice them).

bean sprouts

  • Juice a handful whole.

Cold-press juicing method

Start this juice recipe with the bean sprouts. Add them to the juicer by the handful. Do not overload the juicer.

Next, add the bell pepper halves one at a time.

Juice the beetroot slices last. I like to add about a quarter at a time.

Tip: Soy sprouts don't keep for long, so make sure you juice them soon after buying them. To store them for up to 5 days, rinse them in cold water, pat them dry with a paper towel, and store them in an airtight container lined with another paper towel.
